Center Plaza Building Renovations

The Center Plaza Building renovation included a general enhancement to all office floors, elevators and lobbies, and a total refurbishment to the plaza level entrances and retail spaces. The project included expansion of the building's service yard and facilities and a new building entrance. Office space planning and renovations included the development of new office standards and policies. New office layout criteria developed and implemented for this building were also utilized in the One Hanover Square building that is adjacent to CP&L, of which CP&L has leased 6 floors, of 23,800 square each.

The Center Plaza Building was expanded to accommodate a new service elevator, dock facility with truck well, waste compactors / dumpsters and recycle area, and parking for mail and service trucks. The service area was enclosed with a solid screen wall for both aesthetic and security reasons. The site was landscaped in keeping with the City of Raleigh's new Streetscape concept.

A new skylight walkway and entrance canopy was added at the Fayetteville Street Mall entrance.

A new entrance with skylight canopy at the Wilmington Street entrance was also added, which included an escalator and wheelchair lift. The lower level Maintenance department was expanded below the new Wilmington street entrance.
